Varney home Painting by A. Accettullo

Anthony Accettullo

The above painting of the Varney home and barn in the Towner's Pond section of Melrose was done by Anthony Accettullo. Anthony has been exposed to art all of his life since his father was a professional artist who worked at the Connick Stained Glass Studio in Boston. By profession he is a pharmicist, but upon his retirement from this field in 1991 he began to paint seriously and attended weekly classes at the Milano Senior Center in Melrose under the instruction of Bill Kadlec. He paints in watercolor as well as oils. He also studied under Bernie Gerstner, a Rockport artist. Anthony is a member of both the Lynnfield Art Guild and the Reading Art Association. He recently won two ribbons for his watercolor paintings and an additional ribbon for his stained glass work. Anthony's paintings are in private collections here and abroad.
