MELROSE CENTENNIAL PARADE:
May 16, 1999 at 1:00PM


In just over a week Melrose will put on the largest parade ever seen in Melrose as a continuning celebration of the Melrose Centennial.

The parade participants will form at Pine Banks Park, marching North to Melrose Street and disbanding on the other side of the Fellsway.

There will be four divisions marching in the following order:

First division:........ Fire Apparatus - Melrose and other communities. Fire Equipment to lead and then return to their station for any emergency.

Second Division:... Horses. Horses cannot be held up more than 20 minutes or they become uncontrolable.

Third Division:.... National Service Organizations - National Guard, Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, etc.

Fourth Division:... All Vetersn's groups. (all have been invited). Twenty plus Bands, Fifteen Floats, All schools, Civic & Fraternal Orginazations and Kids groups.

Shuttles will carry participants from their parking spots at the High School to the beginning.

Come one, come all! Help Melrose celebrate being 100 years old.
