Life's most
embarrassing
moments...

... the chap
with the red face

Life's like that. It plays a dirty trick on you just when you least expect it, when you're rushing to get to the meeting on time -- and trying NOT to disturb your sleeping spouse.

Next time I'll turn the lights on.

I drove 50 miles with a friend, went shopping in Manchester, had a nice lunch at Shorty's Mexican, then spent another hour at yet another sporting goods store.

And no one, not a single soul, noticed that I had donned shoes from different pairs, early that morning. One dress, one casual. And the only reason I discovered the mismatch was when a lace became untied. By then it was past 3 p.m. on a Saturday.

Well, that's life. But I'm not going to tell you who I am.
