Trip to the Museum of Science... fun and educational by Ashley Letterie |
|
On Wednesday, during my school vacation, my mother, father, brother Matthew, and I went to the Museum of Science in Boston, Mass. My Dad drove in and we parked in the garage which is beside the museum. Oh yes, my Grama (SilverStringer Ella Letterie) came with us.
Because it was school vacation, it was very crowded with parents and their children. I was interested in "The Big Dig" and we saw that exhibit. We are learning about that in school. We saw dinosaurs, played on the computers, and experimented with electricity. We went into the garden which had plants and trees from all over the world. We saw the hatchery where chicks burst out of their shells. Matthew went in the lunar module, and we saw the Zekin Bridge which goes over Route 93. A man was there who demonstrated the pumping of the lungs. He demonstrated how the lungs expand and contract as we breath. We listened to a lecture about the beginning of computers and how they have advanced in the past years. We saw R2D2, and Matt went into the Lunar Module. My Grama knows a man who was a hobo, and has written a book, so when we saw an exhibit on "Riding the Rails" she took a picture of it. The last picture Grama took was of a boy who had "spiked" hair. We wanted to go into the Omni Theatre, but it was sold out for the day. The next time we go, I will call in the morning and reserve tickets. Even though we were there for one day, I think we need many days in order to see not everything, but a lot more. I think all children and their parents should go to this museum.
