The joy of June

by Shirley Rabb

The joy of June upon us
The bells that ring so clear
And now the bride is ready
And now the time is near.

The quiet of the wedding march
The party coming after
The happiness of bride and groom
The shouting and the laughter.

The dinner comes and then the dance
They sneak to get away
And dad is left with all the bills
Oh, Happy Father's Day!
