Dough Log

 ... a predecessor of calzone

Come into my kitchen and enjoy the making of the "Dough Log"

1 pound bread dough
1 pound mozzarella cheese grated
1 pound hamburg + 1 onion chopped
1 pound spinach
salt & pepper to taste
flour-to roll out the dough

saute the hamburg and onion together
cook spinach and drain

roll out dough to form a rectangle about 15" x 8"

layer the cheese down the center of the dough first,
then put on the hamburg and onion,
then put on the spinach.

seal the dough on top and seal the two ends.

place on a cookie sheet

bake at 350 degree until dough is cooked and brown.

all the ingredients are already cooked, we just want the dough to bake.

cut the log diagonally.
