Stringer Don Norris, who enjoys climbing among the rocks and valleys that underlie the City of Melrose, received this note from Geologist Jim Moore recently.
Hi Don - Got something here of interest from the Melrose area. The attached picture is from a 1928 geology book on the Boston area. Unfortunately, nothing else in the book mentions it! Anything you've ever seen? Jim If anybody can identify the location of this erratic, or possibly remembers seeing it, please contact both Don at drnorris@gis.net and Jim at BerkMtnMan2@aol.com I must add that I've never seen this anomaly in my 60 years in town. But then, perhaps there is somewhere in Melrose where I have yet to poke my inquisitive nose. Don.
