This month, nine women spent two afternoons at the Milano Senior Center learning to make decoupage plates, just in time for the holidays. Some will be proudly displayed at home, others, holding home-baked goodies, will be given as gifts. Marie Salamanca, ever encouraging and enthusiastic, provided the instruction and materials. The three pictures show the group posing with their clear glass plates, seated hard at work and, finally, displaying the finished plates. Pictured (left to right, above) with their completed plates are Rita Quinn Dietrich, Lucy Ward, June Farren, Natalie Thomson, Marie Salamanca, Helene Quinn, and Lucille Haddock. Not shown are Helen Palmer and Kathy O'Leary. November 7, 2003
