Here's what Melrose
 people look like ...

Three youngsters and a dog -- Grandma's toy poodle, Missy -- were on a stroll through Mount Hood Park, one of some 42 parks maintained by our city in it's brief six square miles. From the left is "RY", his sister Maggie, and the youngster of the bunch, Sam. Mount Hood (an average of some 150 feet above the sea) has a nifty, well-kept 18-hole golf course (self-supporting, we might add) plus several ponds and a fair amount of rocky forests. The children's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Turner, long time Melrose residents.
