As my dog Casa and I do our daily walk we notice the ever-changing colors of our neighborhood. The flowers on concrete or brick stairs make you think that the people of these homes are happy to welcome you.
There are stairs adorned with only one pot of mixed flowers, or those displaying single pinks or yellow blooms. Beside the stairs or hanging from the stair railings you can see the colors of summer every where you choose to look. Three steps here have three lovely pots yet the three steps of the neighbor's house are bright with four pots of reds and yellows. Two containers can be displayed differently yet both look appealing to the eye. Here four stairs are being displayed with four pots yet next door the neighbor uses five beautiful arrangements in the same amount of space. Climb these nine stairs and enjoy the beauty of the flowers all the way to the top.The profusion of greens, yellows and variegated plants beside these stairs make this a lovely entrance. The complexion of the neighborhood changes with the seasons but summer brings a profusion of color at every doorway. Gardens paint the day in a variety of blossoms and sweet perfume. As you can see Casa always enjoys this walk. July 2, 2004
