Published the First Friday of each month by the SilverStringers of Melrose, MA -- September 3, 1999
In deference to our lead article by J.D.Lasica citing the Silver Stringers and The Melrose Mirror, we depict the First Baptist Church where it all began. In 1972, members of this church graciously offered space for our first senior center. It was not until 1997 that our present Senior Center opened. That building is pictured above in beautiful watercolors by Gayle Lerman, a local artist.
