STRINGERS GET ROSE AWARD: The Melrose Silver Stringers were honored at State level this monthfor the continuing production of the Melroose Mirror, and for their contributions not only to this community, but to the hundreds of people around the world who find the Mirror an informative and entertaining way of staying in touch. "The Massachusetts 'ROSE'Award reflects not only on the Stringers themselves", commented COA Director Jack Beckley, "but on the two orginizations who sponsor the group: The Melose Council on Aging and the graduate students and faculty at the Media Lab at Massachussetts Institute of Technology, who provided the impetus for the project four years ago."
