Published the First Friday of each month by the SilverStringers of Melrose, MA -- August 1, 1999

This photograph of a snow-covered tree was chosen by the editors for the Melrose Mirror for the front page of the August issue in the hopes that it will help our readers cope with the excessive heat we have been enduring this summer. The contrast of white snow against the blue sky provides an uplifting feeling of relief and gives us hope for the future. The photo was taken by Silver Stringer Bill Jodrey. We are also publishinng an by article Jackie Wattenbert "I Love Snow!" on her not-so-usual reaction to snow.
