Photo of the month: Shirley's harbor scene

... down and dirty in Gloucester's working waterfront

from the SilverStringers

It's about a year old -- since we Stringers visited Cape Ann, Gloucester and Rockport. We came home with so much material that we have been able to supply parts of three issues so far. This month we have selected Photo-journalist Shirley Rabb's scene of Gloucester's working harbor, where all the commercial fishing boats are tied up. Technically her picture is fine, but more than that, it is one of those colorful photos that are just fun to look at.

Readers are also invited to submit photos; the competition is open to everyone -- but all submissions should have some reference to Melrose.
