The case of a 150-dollar postcard

Are we getting blase about the cost of inflation these day? For instance, this is a rebate check for the paltry sum of $150, returned to Don Norris on the back of a postcard. What's a hundred and fifty today ... peanuts? I suspect that check went through a dozen hands on its way from Minnesota to Melrose. Apparently it did not go by anyone who would consider theft -- I mean, is $150 worth the risk of going to jail for? Apparently not. By the way, the check was a rebate for a new electronic projector, for use at weekly SilverStringer meetings. Thank you, Staples -- good deal.
