Published the first Friday of each month by the SilverStringers of Melrose, Massachusetts -- February 1, 2002 OH OH! TAX TIME AGAIN...Not much we can do about it. The clock keeps running and now it's time to talk turkey with Uncle Sam--he has incurred some big bills in the past year. Lucky for us there is, at the Milano Senior Center, a neat program called "Tax Aides", which won't pay your taxes, but these kindly people will help you prepare your returns. That is, if you're over 60 and not a millionaire. On a recent Monday, Len Winslow, a long-time firefighter in Melrose, got top-flight help from Volunteer Bill Dawson, also of Melrose.
