Spiced Pecans

... you can't eat just one

by Kay McCarte

1 egg white
2 tbsp. water (if you use large eggs, 1 tbsp. of water is enough)
2 cups pecans
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Beat egg white and water; mix in pecans coating thoroughly. In a separate bowl combine the sugar, salt and spices. Sprinkle over the nuts. (We stir them to get them well coated.) Spread the nuts on a buttered baking sheet and back for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Cool on waxed paper.

We usually check at 25 mins. and if they are dry take them out.  Otherwise leave them for the 30 mins.
