Short take on Savannah

... Melrosian goes training to Georgia

by Barbara Leedham

Barbara Leedham is a quasi-frequent contributor to the Mirror, and her short manuscripts tend to reflect the interests and activities of the people of our small city. Here's her latest piece:

"This is a picture of the water fountain in Forsyth Park, Savannah, Georgia. I recently traveled to Savannah by train. I went with a group - the Mystic Valley Railway Society. Beautiful city, 22 parks in all and all of them have lovely old oak trees covered in that hanging moss."

(Editor's note: Savannah is a relatively frequent destination for our family, too, and we recently celebrated the purchase of a new car with a quick drive there. We concur with Barbara -- it is among the most beautiful cities in our country. - Don Norris.)
