Besides having no bananas (nada, zip, zilch), Virginia, we have no Santa, no elves
and no flying reindeer. There are no leprechauns. None. There are absolutely no trolls, witches, or ghosts. There is no Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman or Robin. Nope. No Godzilla, dragons, mermaids, fairies, unicorns and (sorry) no Easter bunny. You might as well give up on Prince Charming and gnomes. Forgive me, but there are no pudgy little cupids and I sincerely doubt the angel with trumpets and harps on high. Sincerely. I refuse the concept of a big bearded daddy in the sky who by his Grace gives tragedy to others, not you, if you only ask. I'm sure lots of the saints were remarkable people, like Mother Theresa. But hey, nobody is perfect or infallible. I doubt the existence of little green men. So hate me if you must...all we have is us. September 2, 2011
