How often do you hear someone say "They say", that
automatically makes it true and authentic. We never seem to question this ultimate authority on ANY subject. Just who ARE "they"? "They" are never identified by name or source. Don't you think we should have more reliable information, like Aunt Tillie or the New England Journal of Medicine? People take this authority as gospel and make major decisions based on it, even though it may come from a comic strip or 10 year old Billy. I think the terms should be outlawed and replaced with a name like The Boston Globe or CNN. Then again, who made THEM the authority? October 1, 2010
