Thoughts while shaving

Pre-owned versus used cars? What’s the difference?  Pre-owned sounds more expensive: “aging limousines” as opposed to  “rusty old Chevys”!!  I prefer the term “used car” and the feeling that I can better negotiate the price with the salesman. Everyone had a used car “in the olden days” except for the “rich” people and we kept it until it, literally, fell apart. As long as it started and moved, the body can rust away before you “traded it in” for a car a couple of years younger with a little less rust.

Compare the life of a car with a computer today. I was told recently that I need a new computer to replace one that is only 5 years old. My computer was in mint condition on the outside and clearly wasn’t ready for the junk heap. My first cars were 15-20 years old before I let them go, feeling a little nostalgic. My computer wasn’t around long enough for me to develop a relationship with it.
