Just read your article from the Melrose Mirror. Not sure how long ago it was
written but wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. You and I were kinda
neighbors (I lived in Saugus and was about you age) and like you used to
frequent the Club with my brother Les. My memory is a little fuzzy but
somewhere in there is the Buddy Rich Big Band playing "Mercy,Mercy Mercy" and
several other great arrangements. It was as you said quite the place. Again,
really enjoyed your article.  Bill Lawrence

Bill:

Thanks for the e-mail on "Lennie's". That article was published in the October,
2003 issue of the Melrose Mirror; almost eight years ago!

My wife and I, along with all the kids and grandkids, leave early tomorrow
morning for a big family reunion in St. Albans, Vermont. Needless to say, we are
very busy today getting ready fly out. When I get back, I'll write you a decent
e-mail with some insight on the success of that article. I've been receiving
positive comments on it ever since it was published.
