Lemon bread

... if you like lemon, you'll love this

1 cup      Sugar
1/1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp.        Baking Powder
1/2 cup    Nuts
2        Eggs - beaten
1/3 cup    Oil
1/2 cup    Milk
Dash        Salt
Juice of one Lemon
Grated Lemon Rind

Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl.
In small bowl mix eggs, milk and oil.
Mix all together and pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour - 350 degrees
Watch -- if too hot, lower to 325 degrees

While warm pour juice of lemon mixed with 1/4 cup of sugar over bread.
Punch holes in top with straw, cake tester or tooth pick so mixture sinks in.

Tastes better if wrapped and left overnight.
