Thoughts while shaving

Remember the days when you called Customer Service and a “live” person took your call
and satisfied your concern promptly .. or .. if you had the wrong department, you were
connected to another “live” person who promptly took care of your issue. Today, when
you call Customer Service you hear “all of our operators are busy (there’s probably
only one), please stay on the line for the next available operator”. While you are
waiting , you may hear reassuring (reoccurring) messages like “your call is important
to us” yeah right!!. When you are finally connected, you hear a new set of prompts…” If
you are calling about ???…press #1…#2…#3……#9,  and when you DO finally press a number,
you are connected to another number with another new set of prompts. This system
assures the company that their complaint record is reduced substantially because you
eventually give up and hang up, unless you’re an idiot and you continue waiting!
