Red Sox's Nava holds clinic for 150 at MHS

from the SilverStringers

Daniel Nava of the Boston Red Sox and his team of some 25 coaches and organizers came to the Melrose "A" field on the morning of Wednesday, July 25th, to produce a baseball clinic for area youngsters. One administrator estimated there were 150 participants. Nava is at the right, coordinating with Coach Jim Stoll.

One mother, enjoying the morning from the new bleachers, said that her young son was crazy for baseball, and has attended several other such clinics in New England. She drove here from Rhode Island and spent close to $80 tuition.
