History: Hurricane Sandy strikes Melrose ...

... Wildlife takes refuge, flowerpots uprooted ...

from Don Norris

History lesson: Nothing happened actually. It was the time of the great hurricane Sandy -- last year, and the whole eastern seaboard was struck a tremendous blow. We, here in Melrose, dodged the bullet, pretty much, however.

My wifes' flowerpot got blown over, and that pesky squirrel spent the whole storm tucked on a branch of our oak tree, holding on for dear life. But pretty much nothing happened.

We are thankful.
