When a rose is a rose ...

... Mt. Hood Miracle for Halloween

from Don Norris

Once in a while, one happens across some really good luck. Our group was just leaving the Mount Hood Clubhouse -- we seniors were special guests for a lovely luncheon -- when I spied two absolutely beautiful pink roses in the garden at the door from the, ah, bar.

The flower was so light and delicate that the exposure was way under-cooked, so it took some careful manipulation with Adobe Photoshop to bring out it's sparking beauty.

I don't believe I've ever seen a rose so large, so beautiful on the last days of October.
