On Nostalgia, who remembers Rowe's?

... they ran out of rock, replaced it with brick

from Don Norris

Not much to say about this old photo. I took it about 33 years ago, to be used
for a basis for a painting I had in mind. Things change over the years, and today
that quarry and the Rowe operation are, well, gone. In their place is (guess what)
red brick apartment buildings. For those too young to remember, the Rowe Quarry was
located in Saugus, a scant mile beyond the southeast corner of the city of Melrose.
