... Recommendations for baseball fans

... a note from Steve Johnson

Some suggestions for Red Sox fans and baseball fans in general. Also, perhaps a short article for the Mirror.

This is one of the best books I've ever read. If you haven't read it, you should. It is "Francona" by Terry Francona and Dan Shaughnessy. It's a great insight as to what goes on in the dugout and behind the scenes and in the management offices of Major League Baseball. Highly recommended!

As long as I'm on this subject, also read "Damned Yankees" by Bill Madden and Moss Klein. This was published back in 1990 and is the story of the Steinbrenner years with the Yankees. Also (almost) as good as "Francona".
