Penobscot Narrows Bridge from the ground and observatory. The original bridge was built in 1931 and replaced in 2007 due to severe corrosion in the cables.


Downtown Bar Harbor


Sand Beach in Acadia Park. Lying between mountains and rocky shore the beach is composed of a unique sand of shell fragments crushed by the pounding surf.


The grounds around Fort Knox, a Civil War era granite fortress built to prevent another naval disaster on the Penobscot River.


Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. At right is the summit of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia Park. Acadia Park loop road winds 3.5 miles to the summit with several key spots along the way for a panoramic view.
