Murder in the garden

... unsuspecting. Innocence. Jealous. Choking.

by Carol Nelson

               Could it be true?
               The jealous morning glory,
Seen only early in the day,
Has reached out a slender tendril,
               Wrapped it round and round
               An unsuspecting neighbor,
               Choking it.
               Could it be so?
               Murdered!
               The innocent tomato.
