... a pretty painting, if I do say so ...
In the sixties I was an ex-Marine, learning to be a journalist. In the seventies I
switched to Cycle Sport and New England Trail Rider magazines, and raced a
dirtbike 200 miles through the forests of New England almost every weekend.
In the eighties, I went back to a childhood hobby -- painting. The wind mill
above was one I did, probably accomplished from a Vermont pasture.
Now the motorcycles are wintering in the shed, the paints are a thing of the
past, and I am back to writing for a living, shooting photographs for a hobby.
Life in Melrose has been great.
