A glimpse of Ell Pond

... as the season changes

by Shirley Rabb

It was a pleasant afternoon and I was sitting in my car eating an apple and reading, when I looked
up.

This is Ell Pond, the waterway of Melrose, and it was colorful. With camera in hand I left the car
and started a short walk down the path of striking hues.

Some of what I saw is here in front of you now; but it probably has all gone past, by the time you
read this small pictorial piece. What follows will probably be white so enjoy the brilliance while
you can.

And then there was beauty of another color.
