Lifelong Melrose resident blessed with one husband, one son and one daughter, two granddaughters and three grandsons.
During the course of my life I was a Traffic Supervisor for the City of Melrose, Police Matron for Melrose, Medford, Wakefield and Malden, Legal Secretary for David J. Saliba, Tax Litigation Attorney in Boston for seven years, worked at the State House as Administrative Assistant to the Commissioner of State Office Buildings and for the City of Melrose under five mayors. Pianist, watercolorist, avid reader, crossword puzzle lover, former manager of National Little League “Expos” team and formerly on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Fund, with Margarie Cotton, was on Melrose National Little League Board, designed the arm patch for the “Junior police girls”, lover of the poetry of Edgar Guest and Eugene Field and the poets of the old West.
Lived, worked and got married in Karlsruhe, Germany, bought a Renault R8 and traveled all over Europe. My father was born and raised in Utah, and as a child, we traveled by car (some times took us two weeks to get there) to Salt Lake City and Yakima, Washington every other year to see my grandparents and relatives. Been to Indian pow wows, cattle drives, pitched hay and picked asparagus, milked cows and goats (you worked when you came from the West and wanted to eat), been to all of our National Parks and had a truly great life.
