I was born and raised in East Boston and currently live in Malden. After graduating from High School, class of 1951, I was employed in the original Filene's Department Store in downtown Boston. In a short time I was drafted and served my country in the U.S. Army, in an Engineer Battalion. After discharge I spent the next 37 years with the U.S. Postal Service. After retirement I was employed by the Dept. of Commerce as an Enumerator (Census Taker), off and on. I enjoy outdoor activity and recently competed in the Mass. Senior Olympic Games, in Springfield, Mass. On occasion, I will sit and string together a few, hopefully cohesive lines, in the form of a short story
