Dorothy grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She came to Boston to attend B.U. after World War II and has lived in the Boston area since then. After the death of her first husband, her marriage to Russell Berg brought her to Melrose. Dorothy has one son and three grandchildren. In her working life she was a legal secretary and an elementary school teacher in Lexington, MA. Dorothy is interested in writing and is proud to be a member of the Silver Stringers.
