Editor of the Silver Stringers
Contributor to the Melrose Mirror

I was born in East Boston, MA, July 10, 1928. Attended school there and graduated from East Boston High school in 1945. I attended Boston College for three years. I am the youngest of 7 children, 5 sisters and 1 brother, who is a Priest.

Married Louis Letterie October 13, 1951. We lived in East Boston a few years then bought our home in Melrose. We have lived in Melrose since 1964.

We have 3 children, 1 girl living in New Hampshire, and 2 boys, 1 living in Melrose, the other in Virginia. We are proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren, from whom we derive much pleasure.

I worked for Melrose Savings Bank which is now Mass Bank approximately 10 years, where I was a branch manager. I worked for Gillette Company for seven years and retired in 1987.

Hobbies include Computing and reading.

My favorite is playing in the computer, which is a constant challenge. And I read to relax after spending a few enjoyable hours in front of the monitor.

A Friend told me about the Silver Stringers and invited me to attend a meeting with him. I am not a writer, but enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and decided to become a member.
